Taipei
5. June .
(CNA) Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves continued to
climb in May to reach a record US$421.651 billion by the end of that
month, an increase of US$156 million from the previous record set at the
end of April, according to data released Thursday by the central bank.
The bank attributed the increase to proceeds from investments and
the rise in value of reserve currencies like the euro against the U.S.
dollar.
